It was first established as a farm village, and later on, it took its present form as certain groups migrated. It is 9 km from Süleymanpaşa. The economy of a village depends on agriculture and husbandry. The village has a primary school, but cannot be used. The village has a drinking water network, no sewerage network. There is no PTT branch or PTT agency. There is no health centers and health posts. The road that provides access to the village is asphalt and there is electricity and fixed telephone in the village. Infrastructure has been renewed. The population in 2019 is 123 people. After Tekirdağ gained the metropolitan status on December 6, 2012, all villages turned into neighborhoods.
